A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the masters house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master's house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you." "Why?" Asked the bearer. "What are you ashamed of?" "I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master's house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts," the pot said. The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, "As we return to the master's house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path." Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again the pot apologized to the bearer for its failure. The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw , and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master's table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house." Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots. But what we perceive as flaws are actually being used by other people to grace their tables. If so, then what we seem to think are flaws arent really our flaws at all...
I received this story in an msn conversation and felt 'touched' by it as it struck a chord with me at that time. I copied and pasted it here and edited the back part, wishing to 'touch' more people with those same feelings i had at that low point of life. I was slowly drowning in the depths of depression when you reached out with a helping hand and saved me from the abyss.

Well, had napfa 5 items 2day and guess wat? i overcame my phobia of standing broad jump!!! usually i jump 170cm or dont dare to jump at all but i trained during chem lesson under wei an, jia hao and the rest thank you! Becos of u guys i managed to jump a 209CM!!!!! ahaha i jus need to rerun my 2.4 run and 100m to get at least 2 Cs so i can get gold! yeah. Happy Day. Hope 2mrw will be too ahaha! haiz, im gonna sound like im whining again, but im tired from ndp... hmm, not actually tired of it, just tired from it hmm. Hmm, gonna start from tuesday then... Tuesday Managed to drag myself from my bed to prepare for school (groan). Thought that it will go away in time, but the tiredness still hung ard me like best buds when i reached sch though. Couldnt resist the rock hard comfort of my deskzzzzzz... I was woken up by the light pit pattering of raindrops on the class windows later and heard frm someone saying no assembly(hmm...zzz) A blow frm Terence woke me up and greet mr.tan. The rest of the day was,hmm, hmm(lol)? Went with a few 3/4 people to yck grassroots to play pool/bowling. Pleasant surprise when i and weian found the pool table already with cue balls. Normally those kind of slot pool tables, when u shot the ball it will go back in but no in this case it rolled back to the collection cachment. So i,wei an, jh and jason played some 10 dollars worth of pool 4 free b4 the machine went back to normal... agrh feeling guilty now 4 nvr telling the staff but oh well :)
Friday Hmm, slightly unnormal day from my standards(but i jus may be lying to myself), went through sch as usual but kept on falling asleep in classes again. I dont geddit, these few days i have been doing so in sch... Heck, and im not even asleep... More like drifting in and out of consciousness, its a funny feeling, almost like being hypnotized ahahaha. Hmm, its like, being in some kind of dimension where time doesnt exists. U noe that ur awake but at the same time u noe ur falling asleep(makes no sense lol). Heck, it was a soothing but annoying experience, esp if u keep on drifting in and out, disrupts ur learning. Had a talk with mr leow abt my falling asleep and found out that maybe its not my slping habits thats cosing the prob. 7hrs of slp everyday check. b4 12 sleep check(except on weekends obviously). Mr leow says i need to drink more water and wants to see my bottle filled at the start of his lesson and empty at the end of it. But wat if im at the chem lab? Do i drink the various chemicals or wat hahaha? I dunno, jus noe tht drinking anyone of them will either make me sick or kill me lol. Oh well, at least im not suffering from narcolepsy, i think( wat if?) had ncc training later lol. haha taking over seems so gd, having the power as seniors ahahaha... But we shall nvr abuse those rights like our former seniors way back. We shall bring on a new era of ncc into anderson and glorify the sch name!Yeah lol! Took the sec 2s for pt(physical training) with brendon. I took the warm ups and brendon took the running. And WOW can he run. Even with me at the back to make sure the sec 2 were running i had to speed up considerably to catch up. Well at least we had a gd start with them. At least we did all the pt with them, unlike last last time specs. After pt was.... SOCCER! ahaha i was in the spec team as goalie. Too bad we lost in the finals to the mixed team of sec 1 and 2s ahaha... We admit defeat... went home tired as usual agrh i need something or someone or somewhere to refresh my life...
Saturday woke up early for ndp agrhz slp late last nite but ahaha nvm. went again to amoy kwee camp with ncc kakis. Took charted buses to national stadium again for more rehearsals and rested for the real thing. For the pri 5 kids had come to watch us yeah gotta impress them. LOL when we went out and stood there, everytime the commander shouted the command the kids will say it before hand, cocking up everything! Example, Commander: Sedi..... KIDS: YAH! us: huh?!??! thank goodness we were gd enough not to be fooled but the relentless pri 5 kids kept up their barrage. Were we relieved when we wheeled back outside the stadium. Got back onto buses for the way home. Ahahaha discovered that wison was a hamchi ass( he himself coined wan). The bus lights were all switched off, then we were in the dark telling ghost stories, and managed to scare wilson and tim all the time. So damn entertaining ahahaha. Got one part we all listening to louis telling ghost story i sneaked away and crawled on the bus floor towards wilson's seat. Noeing my plan louis kept him busy, then when at the climax of the story i grabbed his leg and shouted: EURWAH!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA that expression and reaction AHAHAHAHAH... Priceless... Got off the bus beside sch with them and walked towards mrt. Freaked ourselves out when we kept on telling each other we saw something in the building ahahaha... got home at ard 9 plus... chatted with ppl and then slept at 2. ahahahahaha thats all, hmm?

Saturday Morning Woke up at 5am. and fell asleep lol. woke up at 520am and fell asleep again LOL. Finally woke up at 540am then went 4 a jog downstairs. Finish, go back prepare everything then met up with the rest of the ncc ndp guys at yio chu kang mrt at 7 45am. Talked cock all the way as we walked our way to amoy quee camp. wah, reach there then trained us on wheeling in AGAIN and AGAIN until we got it right.
Saturday Afternoon haha then took charted bus to national stadium for lunch lol western! rested inside indoor stadium then started mass sms ppl. ha, all went fine until brendon took my phone and did stm really stupid... (u...agrh...) then did some more rehearsals in the afternoon... then went back again to have dinner but no appettite how to eat... then TADAH, the time has arrived... the ndp preview had already started and we were abt to come in liaoz. TA-DAM TA-DAM TA-DAM TA-DAM TA-DAM TA-DAM...(heart pounding nervous) then the bell rang and out we go! "loyal citizens of singapore... take a stand... for our land..." then we lined up and shouted a sounding "YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" then stood there for, like, 1 hour? sang the national anthem and stood like statues... lol how relieved we were when we finally wheeled out of the stadium lol our poor legs... then we were then dismissed from there and so we all split up lol. Saturday Night I, louis, brendon and nick then hung around the kallang river on the bridge lol. 4 ncc guys looking out of place on that romantic bridge with the almost full moon LOL. Brendon nearly commited suicide by jumping over the bridge LOL. then i nearly fell inside a drain when i tripped lol lol. then we went to a sandy area to throw sand at each other LOL.LAME. bumped into a spec course friend at 7-11 next. after that watched some fireworks and went ultra high. Went to the east side of the stadium to let nick reunite with his family to go home, leaving me louis brendon homeless sob... decided to go home with the counsellors... BUT WE GOT LOST..... so damn embarassing lah, ncc guys getting lost. had to call them to find out how to get to the kallang mrt... malu lah, no more facelah. ran all the way from the middle of a road to the mrt... found out that only huda,lyana,viting,sam and subeer left lol very sorry for being lost lol. took train to, eh, raffles link to walk ard and to eat. went all the way to the end to eat polar cakes and ice cream... while all i ordered was a....... slurpee from across 7-11 lol. snuck into the zone with them and chatted until they finished their drinx and cream. while sam went to buy more cream lol. walked back to mrt, I got crazy for some reason lol laughing all the while with louis. (cool, now i noe that ppl can whistle AND drool at the same time...nonsensical nonsense) X) ont the train talk talk talk then my parents sms me tell me go my aunts house which is is marsiling so far lah, then i last guy left in train lor. they slowly got off one by one, then left me in woodlands when lyana got off. then my crazy parents tell me go back home 1st, my sister at home can open door for me LOL. wah reached home, took a long long bath and then ploped down on my bed and fell asleep...
Sunday Morning 930 am woke up and 1st thing come my mind was: SH!T! i 4got to pick up terence at the mrt at 9am! finally picked him up at 10am (sorry darkknight!) then did sci presentation research till 4pm when the rain stopped then sent him back lol. black holes lol. hehe looking foward to presenting... when we finish the ppt 1st, that is :) slept, woke up at 2am to watch world cup final, but dozed off at ard 215am lol. woke up to see Zinedine Zidane headbutting italian noodle guy lol. then went back to slp... dreamt of the bridge and head butting ninjas attacking me lol wat the hell dream?

Haha, tomorrow, popiah - Geng An, Gongz and rojak - Brendon, Sexy Wong and Me, prata - Louis, is going to perform for the National Day Parade! haha, actually not the performing part, we are just standing there and probaly zuo bo, watch the prime ministers and the ministers of cabinet and Mr President, His Exellency, S.R Nathan to sit down and watch the whole parade! haha probaly will take about 1 hour plus lorz lol, and after the parade, almost all of us have the V mark in front of our chest! Hahaz!

Lol, ok, the day went on quite stupidly, lol after a few games in class, we went for the lessons and then, i kaciaoed the teacher's as usual haha and then later went for english class and after enlgish class, saw SEXY WONG outside and then he took my wallet and said that he want to throw into the pond! lol, i was feeling high that day, lol and yearning for some stupid action and so, i took out all my money, and cards and let him threw! lol, first time didn't went in but the 2nd time it went in and it sank to the middle underneath the bridge and haha, yeap, i reached down the bridge and grabbed my wet soaking wallet and hung it at the screen after recess and Mr. Alex Tan was so pissed i think becoz of us hahax
Ohya, and as for today, lol i felt high again lah, lol and then i volunteered myself to be TAUPOKED IN CLASS! HAHA!
Taupok - The victim is being forced to lie on the ground using physical means and then, the surrounding people will begin to stack up belly on back and slowly increase the weight and the person at the bottom will begin to suffocate and maybe even die in Geng An's situation whereby ladder's and parachutes are being used to Taupok.
